About

\\ Welcome internet surfers to my online portfolio!

This blog is to show my progression in animation and to simply show my art! I have always dreamed of being an animator since I was in grade school, but am finally taking the steps to be actively involved in this community. I know my skills are extremely rough, but I hope you will join me in my journey to becoming a full-fledged animator.

Why do I want to be an animator? The concept of making an inanimate object have its own life and personality blows my mind, and not to mention, I have always wanted to be part of that process. When you watch those behind-the-scene clips of animated movies, you can see how a character's animators cannot help but impart a piece of themselves into the characters they animate. Not only do I want to give a colorful life to a static object, but I want to show people who I am and instill it in the characters I animate.

I studied art at the University of California, Berkeley, where I developed my skills in drawing, painting and sculpting. I devoted days in the studio to practice traditional fine arts, but I concentrated in computer animation. I was involved in a few collaborative animation projects with friends and classmates where I learned about the pipeline and different branches in animation. Through these projects, I participated in story development, concept art, modeling, texturing, rigging and character animation. This is where I realized that I could really pursue this field.

Please feel free to comment and criticize. I will accept it graciously and thankfully!

Love & Thanks,

Jenny
