Class 1 - Week 1 & 2

Alriiiighty then. Week 1 was pretty quiet because we had to make sure that uploads and installations were done and we did introductions. BUUUUT we did have our first lecture just to introduce animation hosted by Shawn Kelly (one of the school's cofounders and an animator at ILM). It was awesome to see him and other animators' passion in animation...it's UBER inspiring.

Our Week 2 lecture was on Animation Principles hosted by Carlos Baena (another cofounders and an animator at Pixar). Here are the main principles that ALL animators should know:
1. Squash & Stretch
2. Anticipation
3. Staging
4. Follow Through/Overlapping Action
5. Ease-In & Ease-Out
6. Arcs
7. Secondary Actions
8. Timing
9. Exaggeration
10. Posing
11. Appeal

For Week 2's assignment I drew some sketches and posed it out in Maya with the Rig that AM provided. And heeeere's what I came up with! Enjoy!
